Baron

Baron's feet will take some time to heal, with his thin, shelly wall, fungus-y sole and frog, and a prior diagnosis of navicular changes.  As soon as his shoes were pulled, he was reluctant to weight his right front heel.  He shed out a lot of very poor quality sole on that right front immediately.  I did a conservative setup trim, and fitted Baron with boots and pads.  We will treat aggressively with chlorine dioxide soaks, booting, and lots of walking!

Well, they're not much to write home about yet, but compared to a month ago, Baron's feet are looking good!  Wall quality has already improved.  Baron shed quite a bit of sole, and his frogs already look better, after just one chlorine dioxide treatment.

BIG improvement!  Hoof wall quality looks great; sole is healthy and building depth; frogs are MUCH healthier!  Go, Baron!!!
