Fiona

8 yr old Norwegian Fjord Mare

Fiona has essentially nice feet; her heels and frogs are wide, and she shows adequate collateral groove depth.  Wall quality is not great, though, and she has some mild laminar separation.  There is barely discernible flaring to the dorsal wall of the right front.  Fiona shows the hallmarks of insulin resistance so common in the hardy pony-type breeds, and she needs to have her diet strictly monitored.  Sensitivity to any carbs in her diet would account for the poor wall integrity, as well as the separation.
