Levi

1996 Quarter Horse gelding

Boy, do I get tired of seeing these same trim-induced issues:  mediolateral imbalance, particularly in Levi's hind feet; high heels on the front feet; flared dorsal wall on the front feet; heel contraction.  I could just copy/paste that list from a couple of dozen other cases on my site.

Levi has hip issues (really??? what a surprise with those medial heels half an inch longer than the lateral heels.)  Levi paddles with his front feet; it's pretty clear that he would toe in if his trim would let him.  Letting his feet point where nature intended will take the pressure off of his joints, and will improve his awkward way of going.  Granted, some of the issues Levi has are a product of his conformation, but balancing his feet is sure a nice place to start to keep things working as well as they possibly can!
